Winnie is born: our first children’s book is nearly here

On 25 February 2025, a bright white calf was born here at Cadzow Croft. We named her Dalwhinnie, but she has been Winnie from the very first day.

Watching Winnie take her first wobbly steps beside her mum, Missy, and slowly find her place in the fold, we knew her story was worth sharing. Over many months, those real farm moments became Winnie is born, a gentle children’s picture book about new beginnings, courage, family and belonging.

Every page is inspired by real life on our farm in the Macedon Ranges, from Winnie’s first warm sip of milk to meeting the fold and her very special naming day.
