Our Steers Found Their Forever Homes
Just before Christmas last year, two of our Highland steers left Cadzow Croft. But not in the way you might think. Both boys were sold as paddock pets to beautiful new homes — where they've since been named Lennie and Fergus by their new owners.
Lennie went to a property near Kilmore and Fergus made the trip across the border into NSW. He travelled so well — you'd think he'd done it a hundred times. Both have settled right in and found new buddies to play with. We've had photos from the new owners and it's honestly the best feeling seeing them happy.
With no steers on the property now, there won't be any Highland beef for a while — potentially a few years. For those who've enjoyed our beef boxes in the past, thank you. It was always a small, seasonal offering and we loved being able to share it.
Our focus now is on the breeding fold. We have nine Highlands in total — Cairstine, Lady Keely, and Jaymee are our current breeders, with the younger ones growing up and not quite ready to breed yet. We're excited to see what comes next.
If you want to know when beef is available again down the track, join our mailing list or drop us a line. We'll keep you posted.
